In a statement that he posted on his personal blog, he explains his decision to leave the band. In what might be shocking news to fans of Hot Chelle Rae, it seems that the band’s bassist, Ian Keaggy has decided to leave the band. The band signed with Cash Money Records, yes home to Lil’ Wayne, Birdman and others, and are expected to put out a new album sometime in 2014. Earlier this year, he also executive produced the feature, Pawn Shop Chronicles.Īs for being in front of the camera, he has done that too in the form as a bartender in a few episodes of Fox’s now gone hospital drama, House.Īs for music, things are starting to look up for Durst and Limp Bizkit. In 2007, he directed the feature, The Education of Charlie Banks as well as 2008’s The Longshots. Those two shows, though, aren’t the first time that Durst has worked on something outside of music. Two years ago, another show, Douchebag, was being developed through CBS about a rock star balancing his rock and roll wild way as well as his young family. TV Guide is also reporting that Durst will be a co-executive producer on the show while Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum will be executive producers of the show through CBS TV Studios. In 1994, Durst and his rap metal band busted into the music world with hits like “Nookie,” “Break Stuff” and of course their cover of George Michael’s song, “Faith.” The series sounds a little like it might be a little autobiographical. The hour-long show has been named, The Noise and “chronicles the rise of a young artist in the 1990s who escapes a tumultuous home life and forms a wildly popular band with a unique sound” according to TV Guide. Yes, you did indeed read that right Fred Durst is working on a television with the network that gave us The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and others. While everyone is hating on Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit, the frontman has gone ahead and decided to get in cahoots with the CW to develop a television series. ![]()
